Apple Basics - How to log In

Setting up your Mac for the first time is quick and easy

• Power On
  Open the lid or press the power button (located at the top right of the keyboard)

• Connect to Wi-Fi
  Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top right corner of the screen and connect to the temporary KIPPNYC-Apple-Setup network

   

• Enter Your Credentials
  You will be prompted to log in via Google

  • Enter your KIPP NYC email and password

  • You will be asked to create a 'local password'. This will be the password you will use for the computer itself

    1. To keep it easy and simple, set it to be the same as your current Google password

• Sync Your Accounts
  Once logged in, open the Chrome browser, sign in with your KIPP NYC Google account, and access your cloud storage to retrieve your files
